Ozone Layer® Rebrands Natural Deodorant and Skincare Line as ZERO, Unveils Products for Kids

Wilmington, NC – May 31, 2016 – Ozone Layer Deodorant®, the Wilmington, NC-based maker of natural topical skin products, is rebranding and all products will now be called ZERO®, citing Zero Bad Stuff™ in their products. In addition to moving its headquarters to downtown Wilmington, NC, the company also announces 10 new deodorant products, including 2 designed specifically for kids, each of which uses oxygenation to kill the bacteria that causes odor. Deodorants retail for $7.95.
“We expanded our line to include two products for kids because research shows that puberty is being reached at a younger and younger ages,” said Todd Platzer, Co-Founder of Ozone Layer. “It is important to keep everyone – but especially children- from having too many toxins introduced into their systems. Many of the leading deodorants on the market today contain chemicals such as aluminum, parabens, propylene glycol and baking soda that can be dangerous, especially with long-term exposure. Most of the alternative products do not adequately kill the bacteria that causes body odor. By combining just the right mixture of shea butter and beeswax, and infusing ozone (O3) into the mixture, ZERO can destroy bacteria instead of just covering up the smell.
